I believe that all goat breeders, at one point in time, have an animal that just stands out in the herd.
Not only are they beautiful, but they are the first ones that greet you when you come out to feed.
They follow you around the pen just wanting to be scratched and loved on. You know that no matter
what happens in your life, you can go out to that goat pen and they'll be waiting for you. That was how
my Sonnet was.

Sonnet had a rough start into this world. Her mother had some problems kidding and because of some
complications, died five days after Sonnet was born. I brought her into the house and bottle fed her.
She followed me around, cuddled up with me on the couch and even slept in my bed for a period of time.
She came to school with me a few times and stole the hearts of everyone she greeted. She listened to my
troubles, nibbled away my tears and always made me laugh. She was my pride and joy.

I am saddened by her passing, but I know that she is in a better place now. I will never forget my Sonnet.
